The complaint officer appointed under the 2021 Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) rules received complaints about the series, but the official rejected them, claiming that the series did not glorify Babur.
Hotstar claims that the web series did not mention the 2019 Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of Ram Lalla Virajman at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, where the controversial building is commonly referred to as Babri Masjid.
In response to the series, a Twitter user said: “The invaders who destroyed and looted India, killed Hindus, and converted them in the name of their intolerant jihad were glorified in 2021? This is what we are doing. What’s wrong? You producers, writers, actors, etc. are really embarrassed.”
Another person asked, “Hotstar refused to complain about their dissatisfaction with the Babur series, claiming that they did not glorify the Islamic invaders. I have uninstalled, you Have it??”
