Haryana schools to open from Friday, SOPs issued | Chandigarh News


CHANDIGARH: The government and private schools in Haryana would be opened from Friday with certain restrictions. As of now, only the students of classes IX to XII will be allowed to join schools with the consent of their parents.
The classes would resume at 9 am and would continue till 12 pm. The students would be allowed to attend the classes as per roster, according to which the schools would prepare the schedule by dividing the total strength of students into two parts. First 50% students would attend the classes on the first three days and remaining 50% students would attend the schools for the next three days.
However, it would not be mandatory for the students to come to school as online classes will continue in the same pattern. Students would not be forced to attend the classes.
As per the SOPs issued by the department regarding opening of the schools, the students will have to sit on the bench earmarked for them by name. The students would not be permitted to share stationeries with each other.
On July 12, the director of Secondary and Elementary Education Department had conducted online video conferencing to resolve the doubts of the teachers regarding resuming classes from IX to XII in the first phase.
The state government has also decided to open the schools for the students of classes VI to VIII from July 23. The department is yet to take a decision regarding opening of the schools for students from classes 1to V.
* Only 12 to 14 students would be permitted to sit in one classroom.
* A roster of 50% students would be prepared by the school and students would attend the school as per the roster.
* Students having written permission from their parents would be permitted to attend schools.
* Online classes to continue.
* There will be a separate entry and exit for students coming to school.
* Timings for the staff would be from 8.30am to 12.30pm.
* Timings for the students would be from 9am to 12pm.
* A safety committee comprising school staff and representative from parents would monitor the situation.
*The entire staff of the school has to be vaccinated.
* Head of the school would be personally liable for the violation of SOPs.
