Mumbai: Constable dies of Covid-19; city police force toll now 104 | Mumbai News

MUMBAI: A constable attached to the Sir JJ Marg police station died due to coronavirus on Saturday.
This is the second death of a policeman reported from this police station.
Till date 104 police personnel in the city have died since the Covid-19 outbreak.
The city police’s Twitter handle on Saturday stated that Subhash Jadhav (41) was battling coronavirus.

Jadhav had been performing his duty, said a source from the police station.
He is survived by wife, two children and parents.
Till date, 8,426 city police personnel have tested positive for Covid-19.
While 7,639 police personnel have recovered, there are still 684 active cases.
On September 17 last year, Rafique Mulla (48), a police Naik, from JJ Marg police station had died.
Mulla was attached to the anti-terrorist cell (ATC) at the police station.
He was admitted to hospital August and died at Saifee hospital.
