NAVI MUMBAI: Over 15 illegal hutments which had recently cropped up in the Ilthanpada area of Dighe civic ward were demolished today by the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation, in order to free the encroached land.
Civic officials of NMMC informed that the illegal hutments were built on land belonging to the MIDC and forest department in the city.
The Navi Mumbai police officials accompanied the demolition team to execute this assignment.
