No COVID vaccination in govt centres on June 3, says BMC

In view of shortage of covid-19 vaccines, Mumbai‘s civic body Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday announced that there would be no COVID-19 vaccination drive in the city at the centres run by the city civic body on June 3.

The city’s civic body took to Twitter to announce the update.

The BMC is expecting to receive doses on Thursday in which case vaccination will resume on Friday.

Vaccination in private hospitals is likely to be unaffected as they have their independent schedules and are securing doses on their own.

The civic body has appealed to the citizens of Mumbai to cooperate with the BMC administration.

“Dear Mumbaikars, Please note that all BMC and Government vaccination centres will be closed tomorrow (June 3, 2021). We apologize for the inconvenience. Please watch this space for updates regarding vaccination centres and schedules,” the civic body tweeted.
