SBI Clerk Exam 2021 postponed due to Covid-19

NEW DELHI: In view of the lockdown imposed in various state due to Covid-19 pandemic, the State Bank of India (SBI) on Monday postponed the Clerk examination 2021 till further notice.

The official notice posted on the website reads: “In view of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Preliminary Examination scheduled to be held in June 2021 has been deferred till further notice.”

Candidates are advised to visit the official SBI websites – https://www.sbi.co.in/web/careers or https://bank.sbi/web/careers regulary for further updates.

Earlier, the SBI had invited applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment as Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) in clerical cadre in the bank. The candidates applying for vacancies of a particular state, should be proficient (reading, writing, speaking and understanding) in the specified opted local language of the state/UT/Special area.

SBI Clerk Exam 2021: Selection ProcedureThe selection process will consist of on-line test (Preliminary & Main exam) and test of specified opted local language.

Phase-I: Preliminary Examination: Online Preliminary Exam consisting of Objective Tests for 100 marks will be conducted online. This test would be of 1-hour duration consisting of 3 Sections as follows:

Each test will have a separate timing as mentioned above. There will be negative marks for wrong answers in the Objective tests. 1/4th of mark assigned for question will be deducted for each wrong answer. No minimum qualifying marks are prescribed for individual test OR for aggregate score. Section wise marks will not be maintained.
