CHENNAI: Chief minister M K Stalin on Tuesday conducted a review of the Chennai Metro Rail projects and instructed officials to expedite work on extending phase-1 line from Meenambakkam to Kilambakkam and from Tambaram to Velachery.
He told officials to complete the construction of phase-2 corridors within deadlines and open the lines for the public.
The chief minister reviewed the operations of the existing metro rail lines of the 45km phase-1 and 9km phase-1 extension. He also reviewed the progress of construction work in the 118.9km phase-2 project.
